Prologue - Introduction - Meet the Founder

Prologue
When I was younger, my parents were struck on the side of the road while walking by a drunk driver.

My uncle rushed to pick my older brother and I up from home to take us to the hospital. He is our mom's sister; we are his only nephews and he's been single the past three years.

Mom was the first to go. The doctors ruled the cause of death to be massive blood loss; despite the constant transfusions since they arrived at the hospital.

Cause of death was the same for dad, along with severe head trauma.

Uncle Matt was the only family we had left. After the short service was held, Matt took us in to his home and stuck us deep in his heart.

I truly admired Uncle Matt. He took every step imaginable to make his life as healthy as possible.

My brother Elijah and I wanted to do our best to follow in Matt's footsteps. I began working out regularly with the help of our dear uncle.

A few years pass and my brother leaves me in the dust. He heads off to college, leaving me at home with Matt.

Fast forward another two years and I myself am at college. Studying sports psychology thanks to Uncle Matt. That's what he has his Masters in and I want the same.

I'm at college for a month when Elijah calls me in a panic. Uncle Matt had committed suicide for unknown reasons. I went back home the next day and my brother caught the first flight he could.

We planned a small service. Matt was never very religious so we just gathered together and said a few words. I tried my best to keep it together.

The day after the funeral, we went to the lawyers office to read Matt's will. As it turned out, our dear uncle left me with a large plot of land in Sunset Valley. What he owned land there for, I'll never know. I decide to move there hoping for a fresh start. Elijah thought it'd be best to take Matt's and our parents' urns with me to Sunset so they'll always be close to me, and it will give him reason to visit me every so often.

When I arrived in Sunset Valley, the directions given to me earlier by my brother said to find the largest lot in the city that over looks the ocean. I find it with ease. But... There's nothing on it. I should change that.

That was then.
This is now.
And I want a legacy that will weather through any storm.
I'm Lucas Jason, and this is my story.
